Christmas Shoe Box Appeal 2008

Real Aid are now receiving, collecting and preparing Christmas Shoe Boxes for our 2008 Appeal.  Many have already arrived in our shops and Aid Supply Centre and are being sorted by our volunteers ready for despatch.

Last year we had a marvellous response. Real Aid received a total of 3373 Christmas Shoe Boxes; 1825 girls and 1548 boys in Eastern Europe and Africa have received a box filled with love.

This year, we plan to send more Christmas Shoe Boxes to disadvantaged children in some of the poorest Countries in the world.  If you would like to make a difference to one or more of these children please consider making up a Shoe Box.

All of the boxes are destined for Eastern Europe; Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Albania as well as Africa; Sierra Leone and Kenya.

Donations

Real Aid is continually looking for clothing, shoes, bric-a-brac and other general household goods.  Items can be taken to the Aid Supply Centre or any of our shops for sorting as either aid or to be sold.

Volunteers

Real Aid also welcome applications from anybody who would like to join our team of volunteers.  We are looking for the following individuals with a little time to spare to:- 

         ◦   help at the Aid Supply Centre in Beverley

         ◦   drive the vans

          ◦   help in the shops
