In order to continually support all of our recipient countries, by way of development or in the light of crisis, we very much rely on the generosity of donors. We therefore urge all of our contacts to think carefully about donating redundant goods and products. Goods can be collected from anywhere in the country from as little as one pallet upwards. Real Aid have arranged for a local logistics company to pick up goods at a time convenient to the donor organisation. Don’t dump it…donate it!! - There are many products and goods that are discarded without any realisation that others, less fortunate than ourselves can use these. Real Aid has produced a printer friendly 'Wish List' which provides a sample of goods that Real Aid can utilise to change the lives of many children and improve the lifestyle of families in the world’s poorest countries. This list is not exhaustive; you may have other appropriate goods waiting to be sent to landfill or incineration. Goods need not be in perfect order, please remember that we are trying to utilise goods that would otherwise be disposed of. Please contact Real Aid to make a donation or to find out more.
Advantages - there are many huge advantages to donating 'Goods in Kind', these include:-
The Government wants to encourage individuals and businesses to give more to charities and so offers a range of tax incentives (income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax) which help you, the charities concerned or both.
