►Stara School
Working in collaboration with another international charity, Real Aid is providing education and health materials to a children’s home.
At the Stara School, more than 500 children – most of whom have no parents and a number of whom are suffering from AIDS – attend daily classes in maths, reading, writing and other subjects. Located in the largest slum in Nairobi, the school also provides children with medication and two meals a day. The Stara School not only gives children the chance to receive an education, but because the school provides food, medical treatment and other care, children suffering from AIDS, tuberculosis or other illnesses are able to have longer, healthier and happier childhoods.
Real Aid is an independent charity that receives no funding from Government or the Disasters Emergency Committee. All donations are gratefully received.
